With Saint Patrick’s Day Right around the corner, the fan favorite of the season is definitely the much anticipated Shamrock Shake. McDonald’s has people busting down their doors trying to get their hands on the minty green milkshake to complete their Saint Patty’s day cravings. With this in mind, McDonald’s released a few new spin-offs of the famous drink…
•McCafé Chocolate Shamrock Shake, which is the smooth chocolatey classic shake you always love, mixed with the seasonal shamrock selection.
•McCafé Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappe, mainly for the frappe lovers, a chocolate chip minty caffeine boost to get you through your day.
•McCafé Shamrock Mocha, similar to the frappe, their classic hot mocha espresso mixed with chocolate chips, topped with a chocolate drizzle.
•McCafé Shamrock Hot Chocolate, if you have enough energy without the caffeine boost, this is the minty-sweet goodness to curb those cravings.
If the chocolate add-ons aren’t your style, and you prefer the traditional minty sensational shake, you can order the traditional McCafé Shamrock Shake… or, you can attempt to do the same in your very own blender! This five-star recipe from allrecipies.com will show you how:
•2 cups vanilla ice cream
•1 1/4 cups milk
•1/4 teaspoon mint extract, or more to taste
•9 drops green food coloring
•2 tablespoons chocolate syrup, or to taste (optional)
•2 tablespoons whipped cream, or to taste (optional)
•1/2 teaspoon green decorator sugar, or to taste (optional)
1.Blend ice cream, milk, mint extract, and food coloring together in a blender until smooth.
2.Drizzle chocolate syrup around inside walls of 2 tall glasses; pour shake into glass.
3. Top with whipped cream and green decorator sugar.
